Headed Toward a Seller's Market
The numbers are in for July for the residential real estate market in Garland County, Arkansas and it shows that our market is still improving. Compared to last year’s market, residential sales are up 13%. While sales are rising, inventory is dropping (down 6% since last month), and it’s all GOOD!
Below is an overview of the local market. We prepared this report from data obtained from the Hot Springs Board of Realtors mls, and it does not include home sales by owner, or other sales not reported thru the local mls.

As you will notice from this report, it still shows that we have a strong buyer’s market, however, reports across the country indicate shifts to a seller’s market in many areas. All of these reports are very encouraging. Typically a small resort market such as Hot Springs tends to rebound a little more slowly, so it appears that we are on a good road toward recovery.
